Fear's origins begin in the mid-'96, Segundo Nieves (RIP) and Edison Naranjo founded a Death Grind musical project called Territory of Sacrifice ; Diego Palacios joined the band on vocals and Fabián Ruiz on bass decided to change the name to Fear influenced by bands from that time such as Sepultura , Death , Morbid Angel , Napalm Death , Pantera , Slayer and many more, easy Fear just fear or terror, the extreme lyrics and melodies of the band are oriented to express all the fears of the man towards unknown things, something unexpected happened: the drummer Segúndo Nieves , committed suicide just when it was the debut of Fear , in his place was Daniel Badillo of The Necropsy band was in a show in the south of Quito with bands that almost always shared the scene such as Kassiel , Muerte , Procesión , Chancro Duro , Total Death , Perversor , Mortal Decision , etc. The public liked Fear's proposal.

Roberto Barahona takes his place on drums, we played in various places in the capital with the unconditional support of José Luis Terán , he made us known at his local El Sótano and thanks to him, we recorded a tape: “Catedral Salvaje” and with it, where we play with bands like Apolions Genocide and Masacre de Colombia .

In 99 Fabián Ruiz decided to leave the band for personal reasons and instead Fernando Morales arrived, we had a show in August “Mes de las Artes” in Tumbaco , then each one took his own way.

Fear is forgotten for 10 years.

In 2009 Edison Naranjo decided to retake the project, and continue the work right where it had left off, the musicians of the original formation were called, but it was not possible to have everyone and it was decided to work with other musicians, Javier Benavides on guitar, Andrés Benavides on bass and Ghandy Villareal on drums, Diego Palacios on vocals and Edison Naranjo on guitar, Fear returns to the fray in a bar in the north of the capital with the unconditional support of his audience who remember his songs like: “Extraña Procesión”and “Catedral Salvaje”, after that show Fear entered : Rommel Sánchez and the drummer Roberto Barahona performed several shows in various places in Ecuador such as “Rock al Frío” in San Gabriel, “Cayambe Metal Attack”, “Sounds of Metal” with Liturgy of Colombia, “Brutal Massacre” in Latacunga, in Santo Domingo , etc.

Fear's proposal was no longer the same because of the voices since the band's strength was always that, so at the end of 2010 Rommel leaves and Diego returns in 2011, now Fear participates in the tribute to those who died in the Factory, sharing the scene with bands like Tren Loko, Descomunal, Anima Inside, Tenebrarun, etc., where it was very well received. The band was taken into account in several written and audiovisual interviews such as the Telón de Acero where their biography was captured, also in Darkness Magazine , participates in "La Semana del Rock" of that year and a single is recorded: "Extasis y Muerte”where the return of the band is formalized and therefore, with much support, other shows in the province where the band is also very well received by its fans in 2012 Fear returns to participate in “La Semana del Rock”without vocalist Diego Palacios in his place Edison Naranjo comes on stage, he decides to leave 4 members in Fear .

We ended 2012 playing in Guaranda with a Colombian Black Death band Destriktuss where Fear was very successful. 2013-2015 Fear focuses on the composition of new themes. In 2015, he enters the studio at the end of it. “Dios del Terror” comes to light, worked on Equilibrio Récords with 9 tracks, and the 4 songs of the demo with more quality are reissued, Uploaded to digital platforms Spotify, Deezer, ITunes, join Fear, Freddy Polo & Diego Polo from the band Alazif (guitar and bass respectively).

To end 2015, we participated in "Rock al Rio El Tena", "Poli Rock" and "Centralazo".

In 2016, Fear continues to spread his work and is heard in various countries such as Mexico , USA , Argentina and of course Ecuador . A live video is made in the terror booth, on April 16 the demo "Dios del Terror" was officially launched in Medieval Café Extremo, however, it came out as Cdr, due to lack of financial resources and the little support provided to the national scene by specialized producers, this event was held with other groups such as Parca, Epidemia and Black .

Fear participates in the 2016 Factory Never More tribute at the Diversity Park, that would be the last participation of Edison Naranjo in the voices, he is surgically intervened on his vocal cords, then it is decided to find a singer to continue with the project , many shows and promotional tours of the Demo Cdr were canceled due to this inconvenience, in 2017 Lenin Oñate entered the voices, with which the band has several shows, around the country it is worth highlighting on April 28, 2018 in Cuenca where Fear , has a good reception, and the Rock Week of the same.

In 2019 Fear begins to work with other musicians, who contributed with sponsors, string t-shirts, key chains, audiovisual production patches, the same that sold out immediately, several shows were held with a good reception from the public.

On December 14, 2019, Fear launches its first full-length "Catedral Salvaje" in digipak format, this contains the reissue of the 2015 "Dios del Terror" Cdr demo and the 4 tracks of the 97 "Catedral Salvaje" demo tape re-recording with more quality and new arrangements in the same year 2015, a new reissue of the demo tape "Catedral Salvaje" from 97 is recorded, this time on tape marked (Pro tape), in addition and to celebrate the band's 22nd anniversary in the edition of Deluxe Box Set, which includes his first full-length "Catedral Salvaje" in digipak, official shirt and flag; three productions thanks to the support of Wolfgang Records who make this great job a reality.

Fear is currently in the process of producing new songs for a new album.
